University District showdown: Which house would you choose?

New, 2 comments

There are so many houses for sale in the University District right now. We’ve featured quite a few of them, and today we chose three very different ones for a poll. One just listed over the weekend. One listed about a month ago (we featured it here) and it just popped up again, and one has been up for a few weeks. There’s a little bit of a price difference, but this is all for fun. Which would you choose?

The first is a remodel just listed with a very distinctive exterior. It almost seems like something should be around the windows in the front. The inside is fairly standard, but it does have a pretty cool attic space that’s ready to do whatever the new owner would want with it. It has four bedrooms, two and a half baths, it’s 2,600 square feet, and it’s listing for $259,995.

The next house is one we featured about a month ago. The listing says to bring your fussiest buyer. Is that a challenge? We have some pretty fussy Curbed readers! This one is a bit bigger at 3,385 square feet, with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a finished basement. It’s listing for $299,900.

This house on Fairfield is 2,950 square feet and listing for $235,000. It’s big and it’s a little less expensive than the rest, but there are certainly places where you can put money into it. It has five bedrooms, some marble floors, some carpeting, a sun porch, and some pretty dismal pictures in the listing. But we can still see the potential.
