Last week, we were so happy to report that the Draken Harald Hårfagre was docking at the Detroit Yacht Club for the weekend. Even better news was that they opened the ship up for tours and over 3,000 people were able to see the ship. Did you miss it? No worries! We rounded up some of the best Instagram pictures we could find from this weekend.
What makes the Draken Harald Hårfagre so impressive is that the crew sailed it from Norway this spring, and they’ve been through the Great Lakes, docking at various ports along the way. Yes, they ran into a funding issue and were not able to do all that they wanted, which is why we feel even luckier that they stopped here on their way back through.
This excellent shot was taken in July as the Draken Harald Hårfagre made its way along the Detroit River.
And here are a few from the weekend...
Wood-carved ravens sat on the ship.
