What can $100K buy you in Detroit right now?

These are good choices

Today we’re looking at affordable houses under $100,000 around Detroit. These were some of the best we found on the market. Which would you choose?

First we’ll go out to Rosedale Park, where this four bedroom, one and a half bath house is for sale for $89,900. It’s move-in ready, but you might want to buy a few appliances before you move in. It’s 1,485 square feet and has lots of built-in storage. It also has a detached garage and a yard.

This three bedroom house in the Bagley neighborhood just listed for $67,000. The outside looks great, although we don’t get a lot of inside pictures. It does say it has hardwood under the carpets, a newer kitchen, and central air, which sounds pretty good these days. It also has a decent-sized deck in the backyard.

This 1,222-square-foot house in Grandmont has three bedrooms, one and a half baths, a backyard, and is listed for $60,000. It may need some work here and there, but it does have some nice hardwood floors to start with.

This Hyde Park co-op is only $50,000, but also has a $726 HOA fee that takes care of property taxes, gas, landscaping, snow removal, and exterior maintenance. It has two bedrooms, one and a half baths, and is close to the Dequindre Cut and downtown.
