This week in interesting and/or unusual places in Detroit for sale, we have the Dom Polski Hall on Junction Street. It’s a couple blocks off Michigan Avenue and near the El Barzon restaurant. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. It has over 20,000 square feet of space for commercial use, a big stage, a kitchen, and office areas. It just dropped in price from $400,000 down to $349,000.
It clearly looks like a winner.
Listing agent Alex Lauer tells us it was used by a sandwich company before, but they moved out earlier this summer. The current owner has been making repairs since. The building was designed by Joseph Gwidowski and built in 1915. It has quite a large stage and auditorium. It could be a community gathering space or concert venue. What do you think, Curbed readers?
