Detroit Rent Comparisons: Here’s what $2,000 can rent you

Downtown? Eastern Market? North End?

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we're aiming high and looking at rentals within $100 of today's price: $2,000.

First up we have this two bedroom, one and a half bath loft in the FD Lofts in Eastern Market. Bring some good lighting because this place is painted pretty dark. It has an open layout and it’s just steps from the market. It’ll run you $2,100 a month.

This four bedroom home has been recently renovated in the North End. It has dark grey-toned hardwood floors, white walls, it’s fully furnished, and the pictures make it look super bright. It also has A/C and a fenced yard. It’s going for $1,990 a month.

This townhouse in West Village has five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, including one that has a gorgeous blue Pewabic tiled bathtub. It’s located within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants, and it’s renting for $2,100 a month.

This loft on Broadway gives you 1,500 square feet of space downtown, on the same block as the Belt Alley. You can walk or bike anywhere downtown from here. It has two bedrooms, exposed brick, and it’s $2,100 a month.

This newly renovated house in Midtown is almost ready for tenants. It has big windows, Rocket Fiber internet, and tenant has to pay for electric and gas. It’s close to Wayne State and a couple blocks from the M-1 rail. The one bedroom, one bath unit is renting for $1,950 a month.
