Classy Leland Loft asks $280K

We’re fans of the Leland Lofts for a few reasons. The former school building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its renovation into lofts was thoughtful and incorporated many elements of the classrooms. And its location is pretty great; it’s tucked away near Lafayette Park, Eastern Market, and downtown.

This particular unit has a unique railing separating the living space from the kitchen, and the listing claims it’s from the demolished American Beauty Iron Company (an Albert Kahn factory in the New Center/Tech Town area). The living room has extensive built-in cabinets and big windows letting in lots of light. The kitchen area has room for a small dining room table. The unit has one bedroom and two bathrooms. Also included are a storage cage in the basement, access to a rooftop where residents can access great views of downtown, and secure parking. The price? $280,000, with $200 per month in HOA fees.
