Mies van der Rohe co-op practically a blank slate, asks $305K

This new listing in Lafayette Park has us dreaming of creating our own midcentury modern paradise. It’s cool, stark, and ready for someone’s keen design eye to make it into their own. It’s also listed for less than any other Mies co-op we’ve seen lately. At $305,000, it’s priced below the least expensive co-op sale in the community (at $310,000) over the past year. Worth it? You be the judge.

Like the other townhouses in the community, it has three bedrooms, one and a half baths, floor to ceiling windows, a basement (some use for storage, some for extra living space), and a galley kitchen. This unit has a variety of different flooring, including carpeting. Some original details remain, like the stovetop in the kitchen and tiling in the bathroom. HOA fees are $776 per month (info on living in a Mies co-op can be found at Mies Detroit). It’s located near downtown, the riverfront, and Eastern Market.
