There aren’t many certainties in Detroit’s real estate market, but we can count condos in the Book Cadillac listing—and selling—for well over $1 million. This latest offering is a penthouse on the 29th floor, and along with the sky high views, it’s coming with the expected price tag: $1,750,000.

The penthouse is 2,300 square feet, with three bedrooms (one with a Murphy bed?), and two full and one half baths. The condo has hardwood floors throughout, an updated kitchen, and luxurious bathrooms. Like many of the others we’ve seen in the Book Cadillac, it doesn’t have the character or charm we see in other dwellings. But it does have amenities, views, and a location right in the heart of downtown.
How does it compare in pricing? Another penthouse (albeit with slightly more character) sold for $1,795,000 earlier this year. A year ago, an unfinished penthouse sold for $1.2 million. HOA fees are $1,398 a month, but does it even matter? It’s listed through Steve Arquitt with Key Realty One.
