The tree is lit. The ice rink is up. Streets are lined with lights and decorations. The holidays are here in Detroit.
First up, the biggest parade of the year hits Woodward on November 23. America’s Thanksgiving Parade takes center stage in the city and on TV Thanksgiving morning. And don’t forget to root for the Lions after!
This year, the Downtown Detroit Markets are open with over 30 local vendors selling their wares, gifts, food, and clothing through three locations downtown. Check out Cadillac Square—which has glass booths for each vendor, fire pits and chairs, picnic tables, and the huge Cadillac Lodge tent with couches, games, food, and beverage options.
1001 Woodward takes the shops inside, and also has coffee and snacks.
Over in Capitol Park, pick out a holiday tree or wreath!
We’ll keep this updated throughout the season, with more shopping options on the way. Have a tip for us? Drop us a note!
