Opens November 25

2017 has been a busy year for the Fisher Building, which has activated its iconic arcade with art, skateboarding, and revamped storefronts. One of the most anticipated openings is Rachel Lutz’s flagship location for the Peacock Room, and Curbed stopped by for a sneak peek before the official grand opening November 25. (Note: the store was setting up for a special charity event at the time.)

The store reflects a time of elegant shopping experiences, topped off by the ornamental detailing completed by Theresa DeRoo of Paintwork Detroit. The shop has dresses, clothing, and vintage accessories and handbags. The added space in the new flagship store also allows for a selection of bridal wear for brides who want a vintage look.

“Our success has been built on customer loyalty and customer recommendations,” said Lutz. “They told us they wanted more options for bridal and vintage, and they also showed that there’s a real need for a streamlined, modern style in retail. The Fisher Building is a great place to be, and I’m looking forward to seeing holiday shoppers fill the building like they did years ago.”

Also opening on November 25 will be Lutz’s new store YAMA, with midcentury-inspired clothing and accessories. Both shops offer sizes 00-26 at many price points and they’re located on the first floor of the Fisher Building.
