Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,250.
First up is this cute-as-a-button Corktown cottage. The listing isn’t offering up the square footage, but the house has two bedrooms and one bath. This rental doesn’t allow pets. It’s located in the heart of historic Corktown, near plenty of shops and restaurants. The price? Right on budget at $1,250 per month.
Here’s a tiny one-bedroom apartment in a historic home in Brush Park. It’s coming in at 580 square feet with plenty of character and charm. What it lacks in space, it makes up for in convenience. It’s close to downtown, the arenas, Midtown, and Eastern Market. It’s listing for $1,200 a month.
If you’re looking for room to spread out, there’s plenty in this odd-looking newer build on the east side. It comes in at over 2,200 square feet, with three bedrooms and two and a half baths. The house also has a two-car garage, and it’s located near Grosse Pointe. It’s listing for $1,250 per month.
This North End house sure looks good in that golden-hour light. It has two bedrooms and one bath, and it’s located right off of East Grand Boulevard, near Woodward. Rent is $1,300 a month and includes utilities and furniture.
This two-bedroom, two-bath apartment is located in a historic home in West Village. It’s close to shops and restaurants in the neighborhood, and it’s near Belle Isle. Rent is $1,200 a month, trash and water not included.
