A few months ago we visited the 1400 block of Gratiot, one of our favorite blocks in the city. Well Done Goods by Cyberoptix had just opened, joining SMPLFD, Antietam, Inner State Gallery, Trinosophes, and more on the busy Eastern Market block. Another local business, Boro, will be joining the block this May.

Miriam Pranschke told us about the consignment resale shop as she prepares to launch the brick-and-mortar location. Pranschke has been selling local and international used clothing, accessories, and shoes since 2010. Boro will consign higher-end independent, designer, and vintage clothing.
“The focus of Boro,” says Pranschke, “is to keep using perfectly usable clothing, which reduces our environmental impact, promotes quality labels and helps people earn additional income. Each piece of clothing has a story. By continuing that story, we build relationships between buyers and sellers.”
The consignor earns 40% of the selling price when Boro sells an item. Consignors also have the option of donating a percentage of their earnings to Boro’s Charity Consignor program–a program that will distribute donations to organizations supporting equity and mobility within the Detroit community.
