Curbed Comparisons: What can $150K buy you in Detroit right now?

New, 2 comments

This week, we’re taking a look at a few properties for sale around Detroit that are listing between $100,000 and $150,000. Which is the best property? Which one has the best value? And more importantly, which would you choose?

This first one is a handsome single-family home in North Rosedale Park. It’s 2,500 square feet, with four bedrooms, a finished third floor, a finished basement, and a garage. The price? $135,000.

This multi-family house on Seward in the Virginia Park neighborhood has four occupied units. All units have hardwood floors and there’s storage space in the basement. It’s located near the Henry Ford Hospital. This one’s listing at $129,000.

This single-family brick home in Green Acres could use some a lot of updating and some paint. There’s also a stray chandelier or two around. It has three bedrooms, built-ins, and hardwood floors. It’s listing for $109,900.

This new listing for a two-family home in Bagley only has exterior pictures (boo!), but claims to be renovated and move-in ready. It also claims new windows and an updated kitchen. It’s located near all the restaurants and shops on and around Livernois. At 2,100 square feet, it’s listing for $120,000.
