Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals around the city within $100 of today's price: $1,200.
Out in Rosedale Park, you can get a whole four bedroom house for $1,250 a month. It’s 1,500 square feet and you’ll have a yard to take care of. Gas, electric, and water are extra.

Over in Woodbridge, you can get something much smaller, but close to Wayne State, Midtown, and Downtown. This 650-square-foot apartment has two bedrooms, one bath, and a newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom. Heat and water are included and it’s renting for $1,200 a month.

Heading downtown, there’s a one bedroom apartment available in the Claridge, where we recently listed a pretty great office space. This apartment is 920 square feet, and cats and dogs are both allowed. Rent is $1150 a month, plus gas and electric. It’s walking distance to everything downtown and the sports stadiums.

In Midtown, you can get a one-bedroom apartment at the newly renovated Strathmore Apartments. It’s right across from Great Lakes Coffee and just off Woodward, near the almost-ready M-1 rail. Rent is $1,255 a month, with water included.

In West Village, there’s a three-bedroom, two bath unit available at the Parkhurst. Located at Agnes and Parker, there are restaurants and shops right outside the front door and it’s biking distance to Belle Isle. It’s coming in a little pricier at $1,300, plus a $50 flat utility fee.
