Detroit rent comparisons: What can $1,600 rent you right now?

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re doubling last week’s price and looking at rentals within $100 of today's price: $1,600.

First up is a two bedroom, two bath apartment in Studio One, which seems pretty excited about the QLINE coming by shortly. Located on Woodward in Midtown, this apartment is located near Wayne State, museums, and yes, the QLINE is just outside the door. It’s listing for $1,500 a month.

Heading downtown, you can live above the Nike Store in a one bedroom, one bath apartment for $1525 per month. This includes utilities and puts you right in the middle of downtown. There’s a washer and dryer in the apartment and you’ll have a front row seat to the Thanksgiving Day parade.

This North End carriage house says that it feels like “a cabin in the UP.” That is very specific. It has one bedroom, one bath, newer finishes, skylights, and it’s renting for $1,600 a month.

Or you can get an entire house in the North End for $1,600 a month. This house is newly remodeled, with four bedrooms, one bath, refinished floors and new systems. Utilities are not included.

In Brush Park, there’s a one bedroom, one and a half bath bi-level loft available. You’ll get all the exposed brick you could possibly want, and a location that’s close to the stadiums, Eastern Market, and the QLINE. It’s listing for $1,650 a month.
