This week, we’re checking in on a few construction projects currently underway around the city. One of the next to be completed will be 28 Grand, the 13-story development of micro-apartments rising in Capitol Park. Led by Dan Gilbert’s Bedrock, the building will have 218 furnished apartments averaging about 260 square feet each.
Representatives from Bedrock tell Curbed that window installation is complete and interior work on the units is underway. Leasing should begin in June.

A few notes about the development:
- Residents will get a double bed, bench (with storage), table, appliances, and TV.
- The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, a double burner cooktop, and a microwave.
- Utilities and Rocket Fiber internet are included in rent.
- The second floor will have communal spaces with kitchen, community lounge, a fitness center, and an outdoor terrace.
133 of the units will be market rate, with 85 units for residents who qualify for low income housing tax credits.
We’d love to hear what you think of look of 28 Grand compared to some of the latest residential developments!
