Agnes Street in West Village has another storefront filled. 2015 Hatch Detroit winner Live Cycle Delight will celebrate its grand opening Friday, March 31.

Detroit native and Live Cycle Delight owner Amina Daniels fell in love with cycling while living in New York City. “After moving back to Detroit, I knew I wanted to create an inclusive, minority owned business that also advanced the city’s boutique fitness offerings, and soon Live Cycle Delight was born,” she says.

But it wasn’t easy. While biking in Detroit in 2013, Daniels was in a hit by a car and suffered difficult injuries. While in physical therapy, Daniels engaged with others in recovery and saw a need to educate people on the importance of exercise and nutrition to lead to overall healthier lives.

Daniels won the Hatch Detroit contest through Comerica Bank, besting 170 applicants for the $50,000 grand prize to help open her business.

Live Cycle Delight will offer TRX and core strength training, indoor cycling and outdoor social rides, and yoga. Detroit-based Fresh101 will also staff a mini juice bar within Live Cycle Delight, offering organic cold pressed juices, bottled smoothies, salads, and vegan snacks.

The studio will be open seven days a week, with classes scheduled between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. A full schedule with class descriptions can be found here. Throughout their opening weekend, they’ll offer specials for monthly and annual memberships and gift certificates.
