There’s a lot going on here

When we think of Palmer Woods, we generally think of grand old mansions. But once in a while, we come across a newer house that just throws us off (like this stuck-in-the-90s house last year and this house with a pool in it). This current listing was built in 1953, and according to O’Connor Realty, the home has over $450,000 in documented improvements in the past ten years. It’s the kind of house that has us seeing double in a few ways. It’s listing for $559,000.

The marble entry has, yes, a red carpet staircase. Good for photo ops, right?

The house includes two bedrooms on the first floor, two living rooms, and what looks to be two bars or islands to sit at, within a short distance from one another. Could be a good house for entertaining? There’s also a carpeted finished basement. We’re enjoying the furry friends scattered around the home, but we’re pretty sure they’re not included.

The house has five bedrooms, four full and two half baths, and 4,400 square feet to work with.
