Detroit rent comparisons: What can $1,200 rent you right now?

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today's price: $1,200.

This first apartment is located on Ferry Street and John R, just north of the DIA and a block off of Woodward. It’s close to CCS and Wayne State. It’s a 900-square-foot one bedroom, one bath in an older home with gated parking and it’s renting for $1,100 per month.

At the Renaissance City Club Apartments (Millender Center), there’s a one bedroom, one bath apartment available. The building has an indoor pool, rooftop deck, and a grocery store on the first floor. It’s located close to Greektown and the Ren Center. It’s renting for $1,230 per month.

On Atkinson, there’s a newly remodeled three bedroom, one bath first floor flat in an older home. The house has hardwood floors, all new appliances, and it’s located just south of Boston-Edison. It’s renting for $1,200 a month.

In Midtown, there’s a one bedroom, one bath apartment in the Avonroy, located at 2nd and Forest. It has hardwood floors and has been recently renovated. Located right by Wayne State, it’s listing for $1,200 a month.

And located just north of Grandmont-Rosedale, there’s a three bedroom, two bath house that’s been recently renovated. It also has a finished basement and a garage and it’s renting for $1,300 a month.
