Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,500.

↑ Here’s a one bedroom, one and a half bath, 1,260-square-foot brownstone at River Place. It has all the exposed brick anyone could dream of, plus 13-foot ceilings. It’s located along the riverfront and it’s close to Belle Isle and downtown. It’s listed for $1,550 per month.

↑ This third floor apartment in Woodbridge has its own balcony. It also has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, beautiful woodwork, and an open floor plan. The fireplace works and there’s a washer and dryer in the unit. It’s renting for $1,600 a month.

↑ This carriage house in Indian Village is as big as many normal houses. At 1,300 square feet, it has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and access to the massive yard (it sits behind one of the larger houses in Indian Village on a huge property). The $1,500 rent includes heat.

↑ This New Center loft also has lots of exposed brick. It’s 845 square feet, with two bedrooms and one bath. It’s located right down the street from the Fisher Building and it’s listing for $1,435, gas and water included.

↑ And if you want to live downtown, here’s a two bedroom, two bath tenth-floor apartment. It’s located in the Ashley, near Comerica Park and the Opera House. It’s pet friendly and water and trash are included in the $1,600 a month rent.
