A few months ago, we featured a house in Russell Woods that had quite the backstory. It was a nice looking house that needed some work, but the previous owners went through an only-in-Detroit type situation.
"This house was bought about a year and a half ago by a couple that moved to the area and wanted to fix it up. They bought it sight unseen and asked a contractor to secure the pool and backyard. They were told the pool had been filled with debris by a contractor because it had been deemed unsafe by the city. Oops. Doesn’t make for a great house warming gift. You can see the whole story here."
The house is over 3,000 square feet, with five bedrooms, three and a half baths, and that pool. It listed for $69,900 and just sold for asking price.
This multi-family house in Woodbridge had character, but still needed some work. It has potential for rental or commercial income, and is located right on Trumbull (next to a gas station). It listed for $249,000 and sold for $250,000.
This Corktown duplex was featured in last year’s Corktown Home and Garden Tour and both spaces are charming in their own way. A commenter noted that it would go quickly, and it did. It listed for $299,000 and sold for $315,000.
And FYI another Book Cadillac condo has sold. The two bedroom, two bath condo on the 28th floor sold for $575,000, or $488 per square foot. Might we see another big sale soon?
