The QLINE is coming

We are getting so close to the QLINE, or M-1 rail, running along Woodward. It officially opens to riders on May 12, and in preparation for that opening, people here will have to learn how to coexist with it.

First, the group is looking for volunteers to help with the Grand Opening weekend. Do you want to make sure everyone knows how to use the kiosks in the stations and get used to riding the streetcar. Are you friendly? Like chatting with people? Free that weekend? You can sign up to volunteer here.

There are also a couple more community meetings to discuss questions about biking, road access, and coexisting with the rail. The meetings are April 11 & 20. More information can be found here.

Also, because we keep noticing, don’t park on the rail line! Seriously! It keeps happening. Please don’t. Avoid the ticket and towing.

If you plan on driving down Woodward alongside the rail, and possibly parking near the rail, the M-1 rail has posted a video to help guide that process.

And the Grand Opening for the QLINE will be May 12, with a big celebration and a first ride. After that, the QLINE will run from 6 a.m. – 11 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 6 a.m. – midnight on Friday, 8 a.m. – midnight on Saturday, and from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Sunday.
