Detroit rent comparisons: What $1,800 can rent you right now

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re doubling last week’s amount and looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,800.

↑ First up we found this pretty incredible loft in southwest Detroit, near Ste. Anne’s Church. It’s about 1,800 square feet covering the first floor of this building. The listing says it has energy efficient heating and cooling systems, which is a good thing for an open loft like this. It’s renting for a solid $1,800 a month.

↑ If Midtown is more your style, here’s a one bedroom, one bath loft located on Canfield. You’ll get plenty of exposed brick here, and the location puts you just off of Woodward, close to restaurants, shopping, Wayne State, museums, and more. It’s renting for $1,850 a month.

↑ If you want to be right on Woodward, this 1,000-square-foot, one bedroom, one and a half bath loft is located just down the street from the new arena. QLINE stops are close, as are groceries and restaurants. Rent here is $1,800 a month.

↑ Perhaps you’d like your rental with views. This two bedroom, two and a half bath apartment is located near the Riverfront, close to Belle Isle. It has laundry in the unit, plus covered parking. It’s listing for $1,750 per month.

↑ If you’re looking for a rental downtown, the Claridge has this two bedroom, two bathroom apartment available for $1,750 a month. It’s located on Washington Boulevard near Grand Circus Park. Dogs and cats are allowed.
