Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,000.

↑ Coming in at $950 a month is this one bedroom, one and a half bath apartment in Midtown at the Hollenden Apartments. The listing says that in the unit for rent, the kitchen has newer appliances and french doors. It’s located on Forest and Second, near Wayne State and plenty of restaurants and shops in Midtown.

↑ This three bedroom, one and a half bath apartment is located in Jefferson Chalmers, near the Detroit River and the Grosse Pointe border. It’s recently renovated with hardwood floors and updated utilities. It’s listing for $1,000 a month.

↑ Here’s a three bedroom, two bath home located on East Outer Drive, at the border of Morningside and East English Village. This house has a new roof, a fenced yard, and it’s renting for $975 per month.

↑ This newly renovated house in West Village is located right near the corner of Van Dyke and Kercheval. It has three units to choose from, including a two bedroom, one bath lower flat that’s available in our price range at $1,050 per month (there’s also a studio for $700 and an upper-level two bedroom for $1,200).

↑ This newly renovated apartment in the North End has three bedrooms, one bath, hardwood floors, big windows, and a new kitchen. Gated parking is available and this unit is renting for $1,050 per month.
