Detroit rent comparisons: What $900 can rent you right now

New, 1 comment

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $900.

↑ First up is a three bedroom, one bath renovated unit in the North End. There are actually four units available in this recently renovated building. They have refinished hardwood floors, new appliances, new systems, and new kitchens and bathrooms. The $1,000 per month rent includes security and water.

↑ Also for $1,000 a month, you can live underground in Brush Park. At 1,000 square feet, this garden-level apartment is actually a lot of room for this location — it just doesn’t have a lot of light. The location is close to downtown, Midtown, and the stadiums, and the unit has a washer and dryer included. The rent includes everything: cable, electric, security, trash, etc.

↑ For $900 a month, this house is located in a quiet, wooded area of Old Redford (lovely neighborhood). This four bedroom house is 2,000 square feet, with laundry and a garage.

↑ If you want to live downtown, the Town Residences have studios available for around $900 a month. Located on the west side of downtown, near Corktown, these apartments have been recently renovated.

↑ In Midtown, Finn Apartments on Selden has studios available also around $900 per month. These are pretty small (under 500 square feet) with hardwood floors and laundry in the building. They’re walkable to everything Midtown and close to the QLINE.
