Corktown fixer upper asks $225K

New, 2 comments

We don’t see many single-family homes come up for sale in Corktown, and the prices lately reflect the scarcity of property in Detroit’s oldest neighborhood. This move-in ready Victorian with no driveway and a refrigerator in the butler’s pantry listed for $359,900 earlier this spring (still pending).

So here we have a house just down the street. It’s 1,600 square feet with three bedrooms and two baths. One of the big sellers for this one could be the amount of land that comes with it. It’s on an extra wide lot and there’s room to build. The house isn’t in terrible shape; it’s basically ready to be refinished and customized for a new owner. It’s located on Leverette near Trumbull. We’re interested to see what this one might go for. What do you think, Curbed readers?
