Detroit rent comparisons: Here’s what $1,600 can rent right now

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,600.

This two bedroom, one bath newly renovated apartment in West Village Manor. It has 950 square feet, updated finishes, and air conditioning. It’s located above shops and restaurants on Agnes and it’s renting for $1,600 per month, with water, heat, and parking included.

55 W. Canfield

This one bedroom, one bath loft in Midtown has only 835 square feet and it’s listing for $1,700 per month. It’s located right off of Woodward, close to Wayne State and the QLINE. It also has a small balcony overlooking Midtown.

3908 Cadieux

This four bedroom, three bath house in East English Village looks newly renovated, with hardwood floors, a fireplace in the living room, and a finished basement. It’s located very close to Grosse Pointe and it’s listing for $1,500 per month.

1538 Centre Street

Downtown living will run $1,630 per month at the Ashley. This one bedroom, one and a half bath penthouse has hardwood floors in the living areas and carpet in the bedroom. Pets are allowed and the rent covers water and trash (electric not included). It’s located near Grand Circus Park and Comerica Park.
