New, 3 comments

In this week’s Curbed Comparisons, we’re looking around to see what a solid $60,000 can buy you in the city of Detroit. We found some homes that need someone to help them out, plus a couple move-in ready homes. Is there a certain price point you’d like to see compared? Let us know in the comments or drop us a note on the tip line. Here we go.

18911 Ashton Avenue

The first house is a Rehabbed & Ready home located near Seven Mile and Southfield Freeway. This cute little house has two bedrooms, one bath, an enclosed back porch, and a new furnace and water heater. The price? $59,900.

20261 Plainview

This three bedroom, two bath move-in ready house is located just northwest of the first, near 8 Mile. It looks recently remodeled and has a large living space in the basement which has our favorite - a basement bar. There’s also a covered patio off the back. The price? $50,000.

8833 Lafayette

This three bedroom, two bath home is located in Springwells. It’s over 100 years old but has been renovated recently. It has some interesting carpet in the living room. It’s listing for $59,900.

18631 Santa Rosa

This cute four bedroom Tudor in Bagley could use some care and attention, but if you have a $60,000, you’ll have room for it. It’s located near Livernois and Seven Mile and it’s listing for just $39,500.
