Move-in ready North Corktown home asks $250K

Photos by Michelle & Chris Gerard

This newer build in North Corktown may not be the most impressive design we’ve seen, but it definitely has something many buyers want in Detroit right now. There aren’t many move-in ready houses on the market, so the ones we’ve seen tend to be priced a little high. This 2005 home is located on Harrison, on the northern end of North Corktown. It has a pretty open layout downstairs, with three bedrooms upstairs. The price? $249,900.

The kitchen is small, but functional. Seems like there could be room to expand it, if the new owner was so inclined. The basement has room for storage, and there’s a shed out back for more outside storage. The house also has a good front porch. We saw a similar listing in Islandview earlier this year that asked for $179,900 and sold for $125,000. We’ll see how this one fares. It’s listed through O’Connor Real Estate.
