We understand that courtyard units in Lafayette Park don’t come up for sale very often, and Detroit real estate can be wild. Now we have a price that’s a bit confounding, but who knows? This courtyard co-op has a private landscaped yard and garden, plus three bedrooms, two baths, and room for storage or additional living space in the basement. It’s aiming sky high and asking $699,000.

We haven’t seen a co-op here list for anything over $600K. Another courtyard unit is now listed for $489,900 and one sold last year for $475,000. This 1,450-square-foot unit has been renovated recently, with a marble-tiled master bath and a lovely kitchen that almost makes the galley-style work. The $1,088 HOA fee covers property taxes, building/grounds maintenance, window washing, snow removal, recycling and trash service, security, master mortgage, cable TV, and internet. Any questions about the co-op can be answered at Mies Detroit. It’s listed through O’Connor Real Estate.
