Detroit apartment rentals: Here’s what $1,350 can rent you

New, 2 comments

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week, we noticed our friends over in Curbed LA chose $1,350 for their Curbed Comparison, so we decided to see what that can get us in Detroit. Yes, we know they have better weather. The rentals are within $100 of our price point. Here we go.

First up, we somehow found a rental available in Corktown. This two-bedroom flat has a porch, a yard, and basement laundry. It’s walkable to the shops and restaurants in Corktown, and close to both downtown and the West Riverfront. It’s at the higher end of our budget at $1,450 per month.

Here’s a two-bedroom, two bath apartment available in West Village. It has the tiniest kitchen and it’s located close to the fun shops and restaurants on Agnes and Kercheval. The location is also a quick bike ride to Belle Isle. This one is renting for $1,300 a month.

Or for $1,300, you can get a whole house with a big backyard and a turret in Rosedale Park. This three bedroom, one and a half bath house has recently been remodeled. It’s close to restaurants, shops, and groceries.

Here’s a Midtown one-bedroom apartment close to Tech Town and Art Center. This is a newly renovated building and it’s close to the QLINE and Wayne State. This one will be available September 1 and it’s listed for $1,300 a month.

And in the North End, here’s a three bedroom, two bath apartment with exposed brick and a newer kitchen. It’s right off of Woodward, and has A/C and secure parking. It’s listing for $1,450 per month.
