Lear Corp. did an incredible job renovating the Brown Brothers Cigar Co. Building in Capitol Park, which opened last year as their Innovation Center. Now we have a clearer idea of what’s to come with the Hemmeter Building, which they purchased in late 2015.

The seven-story building stands at the corner of Centre and Grand River, in the Paradise Valley redevelopment/Harmonie Park area. According to DBusiness, “floors four to seven will be used for administrative office space, executive offices, and a new business incubation center;” while the rest of the building will be leased to other tenants. A longtime tenant, Spectacles, will keep its ground-level retail space and it will be renovated as well. A rooftop patio could be in the works, too.

Renovation has been underway since last year, and Crain’s reports that major renovations should be finishing in a few weeks, and a grand opening is scheduled for this fall. The exterior renovations are underway as well, as they clean the white brick and install new windows.
