Sold home updates from Jefferson Chalmers, Boston-Edison, and more

New, 1 comment

Welcome to this week’s roundup of sold homes around different Detroit neighborhoods. This week we have a house that sold with a boat, a gingerbread house, a not-crazy-expensive house in Boston-Edison, and a fairly expensive Riverfront loft. Is there a house you’re keeping an eye on? Let us know in the comments or drop us a note on the tip line.

Everyone loves the canals, it seems. Houses along the canals in Jefferson Chalmers don’t tend to last long, especially if they’re in fairly good condition. This Harbor Island bungalow was being sold with a boat—something we don’t see every day. This nautical-themed abode listed for $305,000 in June and just sold for $300,000.

We hope you love Boston-Edison because we sure have seen a lot of listings there this summer. This move-in ready home is on the smaller side for the neighborhood—2,100 square feet—and it’s been updated in the last few years. It listed in May for $235,000 and just sold for $215,000.

This Russell Woods “Gingerbread House” may be one of the most adorable listings we’ll post this year. Seriously, that is some sweet curb appeal. The three bedroom house has a big stone fireplace as a centerpiece, plus a matching garage. It’s delightful. It listed for $69,900 and sold for its asking price.

Prices are moving on up in the River Place lofts, located in between Belle Isle and downtown. This two bedroom, one and a half bath unit has plenty of exposed brick, high ceilings, and industrial vibes for those looking for a lofty home. It listed for $399,000 and just sold for $399,500 (that’s $286 per square foot).
