After looking at a lot of lofts after a while, many start to look the same. But this Grinnell Place loft has some character, and it has the added bonus of a rooftop deck. We’d say the asking price per square foot is aiming pretty high ($482), but another loft just sold here for $445 per square foot. Is this one worth the price? With two bedrooms and one and a half baths, it’s listing for $499,000.

The rooftop deck has soaring views of downtown Detroit, Michigan Central Station, and the Ambassador Bridge. There’s also a small patio off the living room overlooking Michigan Avenue. Inside, the unit has huge windows, wood floors, and a mezzanine fit for an office and/or extra living space. The kitchen has tons of storage and an island for extra seating. Also included is a secure indoor parking spot. HOA fees run $300 a month and it’s listed through O’Connor Real Estate.
