Milwaukee Junction warehouse now renovated into sleek lofts

It’s been a long time coming, but new lofts are now available for rent at 207 East Baltimore in Milwaukee Junction.

We last mentioned these lofts in April 2015, and the thought was that they would be ready by that fall. But like many Detroit development stories, Ed Siegel tells Curbed that the process took much longer than they thought. They purchased the property in the 2012 tax auction. The process of approvals and financing held up the renovation for a long time.

They did a full gut renovation and rehab of the 1914 building, which was most recently used as a warehouse. They’ve been in the renovation process for about a year and a half.

The building is now ready for new tenants for September 1 occupancy. It has filled some of the spaces, but some are still available. They range from a one bedroom, one bath at 863 square feet at $1,450 per month to a two bedroom, one and a half bath at $1,850 per month. Gated parking is also available.

They’re located on East Baltimore, two blocks from both East Grand Boulevard and Woodward. They’re close to the QLINE, CCS, the Fisher Building, and the museums. Here’s a look at the new lofts. More information can be found here.
