Detroit rent comparisons: What $1,500 rents right now

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,500.

This week we’re starting in Corktown with a three bedroom, one bath townhouse. It has hardwood floors, vintage details, and it’s located within walking distance of shops and restaurants. It’s renting for $1,500 per month, plus gas, water, and lights.

This four bedroom, one and a half bath house is located on Parker Street just north of Kercheval and West Village. It’s walking distance to shops and restaurants in West Village, and biking distance to Belle Isle. It’s listing for $1,450 a month plus utilities.

41 Burroughs Street, Apt 303

This one bedroom, one bath unit at the Graphic Arts Lofts is located just off of Woodward near Tech Town. It has big windows, an open floor plan, and it’s close to Wayne State, CCS, and the QLINE. It’s renting for $1,440 per month (water included, parking is extra).

2699 Guoin Street #301

This one bedroom, one bath loft near the Riverfront has some interesting decor choices. It has that exposed brick everyone likes, plus some drop ceilings. It’s located near Chene Park and the Riverwalk. It’s listed for $1,400 per month, parking and water included.

6533 East Jefferson, #310

Further down the Riverfront and directly across from Belle Isle, this one bedroom, one bath loft at the Lofts at Rivertown is available. This one has a sharp kitchen, wood beams, exposed brick, and it’s renting for $1,500 per month.
