Expect some visible changes around Greektown in the upcoming weeks. The signs on Greektown Casino and Hotel were taken down earlier this summer and now September 30, we can expect to see new signage atop the 30-story building.

According to a press release, we can expect a “dynamic” interior and exterior signage package, with over 1,500 units. The sign on top of the hotel will be lifted by helicopter and should span the rooftop.

Visitors and residents can also expect six new fast casual restaurants as part of a new Monroe Market. This will include selections of Michigan wines, Detroit beers, ramen, and pop-culture decor. A new bar will also be added to the casino. The renovations of this market are currently underway and should be open next spring.

The name change is unified across Dan Gilbert and Rock Ventures gaming properties in Ohio and Michigan. The rebranding is expected to be completed by May 1, 2018.
