Finally, we’re enjoying the cool fall air after an unexpected, and some might say unwelcome, September heat wave. It’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the changing fall colors in the area. Our open thread this week is taking a break from development and housing and asking where you like to hike, run, bike, or ski in Metro Detroit.

Do you love Belle Isle? Or do you frequent a particular metropark in the region? Maybe you enjoy the miles and miles of trails along Hines Drive? Maybe you like a particularly close trail or park in Ontario—hey, we’re open to suggestions!
