In case you missed it, the east side neighborhood of East English Village won the 2016 Curbed Cup, making it Detroit’s neighborhood of the year. It’s even mentioned in the listing for this charming brick house that’s now up for sale in the neighborhood. The house is just under 1,500 square feet with a garage and a backyard, and it’s listing for $129,900.

This brick house has three bedrooms, one and a half baths, a fireplace in the living room, extra living space or storage in the basement, and a balcony overlooking the backyard. The listing states that it also has a newer roof and A/C. It’s located near Grosse Pointe and many shops and restaurants. Nothing too fancy here; just a solid house in a good neighborhood with a strong neighborhood association. We’d love to see more houses like this at a price like this.
