Detroit apartment comparisons: What $1,250 rents right now

Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,250.

663 East Kirby

First up is a new build in Art Center. The one bedroom, one and a half bath option for these row houses fall into our price range right at $1,200 a month. Pets are allowed here, there’s a washer and dryer in unit, plus off-street parking. The listing calls the townhouses, “luxury, mystique, exclusivity, and comfort townhouses all wrapped in one package.” Dang. It’s located near Wayne State, CCS, the museums, Midtown, and New Center.

4129 Trumbull Street

Over in Woodbridge, $1,250 per month can get you this two bedroom, two bath flat. Pets are ok in this rental as well, and the unit has central air. A storage space and washer and dryer are located in the basement. This flat is near Midtown, Corktown, and Wayne State.

825 Iroquois

Over in Indian Village right off of Jefferson, this recently remodeled two bedroom unit is up for rent. This apartment has hardwood floors, a new kitchen, and a gated parking space included. It’s located near West Village and Belle Isle. It’s renting for $1,300 a month and cats are allowed.

6533 East Jefferson

Directly across from Belle Isle, this loft studio is available at the Lofts at Rivertown. It has exposed brick, a very open layout, and the complex has a fitness room and swimming pool. Dogs are allowed here and there’s a washer and dryer in unit. It’s renting for $1,300 per month.

4732 Third

Right in Midtown, next to Wayne State University, you can get a two-bedroom apartment at the top of our price range. This apartment has a dishwasher, central air, and a gated parking space included. It’s renting for $1,350 per month.
