There haven’t been too many single-family homes for sale in West Village in the past year, and those that have sold have gone for about anywhere between $100 and $160 per square foot. This new listing is kind of a head scratcher. The house is charming and move-in ready, but the price is way out in left field. It’s listing for $330,000, or $231 per square foot. We’re not entirely convinced West Village is there yet.
The house has three bedrooms, one and a half baths, an updated—but small—kitchen, and a large fenced yard. The third floor could be redone, and a basement is available for extra storage. The listing states there’s a new roof and new electrical. Aside from the location on Parker Street—in between Agnes and Kercheval—we’re wondering why the steep price. It’s walkable to shops and restaurants, bikeable to Belle Isle, and three miles east of downtown. For comparison, this nearby home just sold for $235,000.
