New year, new digs. Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week, we’re aiming high and looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $2,018.
We’re starting in the North End with this recently renovated four-bedroom house. It’s located a couple blocks off of Woodward, right in the middle of the neighborhood. It has a big front porch, two and a half baths, and a new kitchen. Pets are welcome, and the listing boasts about the fourth bedroom or office with shiplap. Shiplap? Say no more! It’s going for $2,099 a month.
This gorgeous four-bedroom home is located in the Curbed Cup neighborhood of the year—East English Village. It comes with an attached two-car garage, a finished basement, high-tech upgrades, and a fenced yard. It’s renting for $2,000 per month.
The newer Water’s Edge development along the east Riverfront has a variety of apartments coming online, including a two bedroom, two bath unit on the fifth floor. Amenities include a fitness room, a pool, and a clubhouse available for rent. It’s right along the Riverwalk and close to Belle Isle. It’s listed for $2,035 a month.
If you’re looking for more urban views, you can’t really beat this fifth floor unit at the Carlton Lofts in Brush Park. The big windows have expansive downtown skyline views, plus you can see the development under construction at City Modern. This one has two bedrooms, two baths, and gated parking. It’s renting for $2,100 a month.
Located right next to downtown, the Riverfront, and the Dequindre Cut, Orleans Landing has availability on their two-bedroom, two bath apartments. The pet friendly development has a swimming pool, a 24/7 concierge, washer & dryer in unit, and a fitness center. This one rents for $2,075 per month.
