What $950 rents around Detroit

Which apartment would you choose?

Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $950.

In West Village, a 1,000-square-foot apartment falls under this week’s price range. It has hardwood floors, one bedroom, and one bath. It’s located right across from businesses in West Village, and it’s close to Belle Isle. It rents for $1,000 per month, water and parking included.

This big red house sits in the 8 Mile Wyoming area. It has three bedrooms, three baths, a very open layout with a small kitchen, and a garage. It’s an unusual house for the area, and it’s listing for $1,000 per month, plus utilities.

Near Russell Woods is this five bedroom, 1,500-square-foot renovated home. It has some new carpet and some hardwood floors, plus a newer kitchen. Pets are allowed and it rents for $900 per month.

In New Center, here’s a two-bedroom, one bath condo falling under our price range. It has hardwood floors and a tiny kitchen, and the building has shared laundry and an exercise room. It’s close to the Fisher Building, Wayne State, and the Henry Ford Health Center, and it’s renting for $1,000 a month.

This three-bedroom upper unit sits just off of West Vernor in Southwest Detroit. It has hardwood floors, some new fixtures and older details, shared laundry, and a fenced yard. Rent is $995 per month, plus gas and electric.
