Here’s what $1,300 rents in Detroit

An upper flat in Woodbridge or a house in Berg-Lahser?

Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,300.

Here’s a three bedroom, one bath upper unit in Hubbard-Richard. It has hardwood floors, an open layout living space, and a covered balcony. It’s close to Southwest and Corktown. This apartment rents for $1,250, plus gas, electric, and internet. No pets.

This two bedroom, one bath upper apartment is available in Woodbridge. It’s about 750 square feet, with hardwood floors. It’s close to Wayne State and downtown, and it’s renting for $1,200 per month, plus electric. Pets are allowed.

Coming in at the top end of the price range is a three bedroom, three bath ranch in the Berg-Lahser neighborhood. It covers 1,400 square feet, with room in the basement. It’s renting for $1,400 per month, no pets allowed.

In New Center, here’s a two bedroom, one bath apartment up for lease. It’s furnished and has laundry, and it’s close to Midtown, Wayne State, and the Henry Ford Hospital. It’s leasing for $1,200, and includes wifi and water.

And last is this Art Center townhouse with one bedroom and one-and-a-half baths. It’s located close to the DIA, CCS, and Wayne State, and it’s renting for $1,300 per month.
