99-year-old East Village bungalow asks $175K

With warm wood details

Much like Islandview last year, the eastside neighborhood of East Village has seen multiple listings this year. One updated house on Fischer Street recently sold for $205,000, while this fixer-upper just sold for $58,000.

Here’s a new listing with original details combined with modern conveniences. It has a decorative fireplace surrounded by built-ins; wood trim lining the downstairs rooms; wood beams, built-ins, and a bench in the dining room; a handsome staircase; two-and-a-half-baths; and a somewhat open kitchen and dining area. A peninsula separates the two, and the kitchen has plenty of storage. The listing says five bedrooms, although one seems to be tucked away under an angular ceiling. Also find a basement for storage, a large front porch, and a fenced yard. It’s located in the same area as the others that have sold recently, and the block is adjacent to Indian Village. It’s listed for $175,000 through Bill Swanson at O’Connor Real Estate.
