A 1908 apartment building in Midtown is about to see its next life as for-sale condos. The building will undergo a complete gut rehab—construction has started—with the completion date expected in spring 2019. When finished, the building will have eight one-bedroom condos, two of those located at garden level.

The garden level condos are 680-687 square feet and sell for $210,000. The six larger condos run 874-883 square feet and include a private deck, parking, and storage, listing for $325,000. HOA fees will run $150 per month for the garden level, and $200 a month for the larger condos. They’re listed through David Bajoka at Bajoka Property Group, LLC.
Construction will include new windows, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roof, and drywall.
The price puts these condos at just over $350 per square foot—on par with other lofts and condos sold in the neighborhood recently. To note, Midtown is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city. While there has been a need for more for-sale units close to downtown in recent years, most have been built in the nearby Brush Park neighborhood, which has multiple condo and apartment developments under construction.
The renderings show the various finishes, and we appreciate the nod to other Detroit architecture in the wall decor.
