A four-bedroom townhouse or a one-bedroom apartment

Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,400.

The first rental takes us to the second floor of a recently renovated bank building in West Village. This apartment has one bedroom and one bath but a lot of living space, including an outdoor patio. It’s renting right at our price point at $1,400.

For $1,300 a month, this two-bedroom flat is available in Woodbridge. Heat, water, and gas are included, and the apartment is close to Wayne State and Midtown.

This beautiful four-bedroom townhouse is available in Islandview. It has both historic charm and updated finishes. Laundry is available in-unit, and it’s at the top of our price range at $1,500.

Our price range can snag a one-bedroom apartment in the recently renovated Hamilton in Midtown. Building amenities include a large community room, a fitness center, a laundry room, and a dog-grooming station. It’s close to Whole Foods and the arenas. Prices start at $1,415.

Apartments are now ready at Philip Houze downtown. The building has recently been renovated, and amenities include a fitness center and an outdoor kitchen. It’s close to everything downtown and the arenas. A one-bedroom can rent for $1,475.
