Ready for condos or apartments

What would you do with an old school? The former Hillger School in Detroit sits right at Pingree Park, north of Indian Village and south of Gratiot. It’s right across from a church and on the same block as the park itself. More homes in the area are in the process of renovation. This three-story school is primed for redevelopment and listing for $799,999.

The building can be divided into 28 condos or apartments, with a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. Some rich woodwork is still in-tact. The 30,000-square-foot school sits on one acre of land and includes the adjacent surface lot. The property is a few miles outside of downtown, and fairly close to the Villages, Islandview, and Eastern Market. It’s listed through Todd Sykes at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, the Loft Warehouse.
