Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,650.
For downtown living, a one bedroom, one bath apartment is available in the Ferguson Building on Woodward Avenue. It’s within walking distance from everything downtown, and close to the new Shinola Hotel. One bedroom apartments are available starting at $1,600.
Closer to the Riverfront, a one bedroom, one bath apartment is available at Orleans Landing. This complex has a fitness center and pool, and it’s right off of the Riverwalk, close to the Ren Center. It’s listing for $1,620 per month.
The Park Shelton in Midtown has a few options in this week’s price range. One-bedroom apartments are available from $1,600-$1,750 per month. This historic building is right across from the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Historical Museum. It’s along the Qline and close to Wayne State and the Fisher Building.
This three-bedroom restored West Village apartment has a fenced-in backyard, historic charm, hardwood floors, an updated kitchen, and a washer and dryer. It’s close to businesses in the Villages and a walk or bike ride to Belle Isle. It’s listing for $1,650 per month.
The first floor apartment of this Woodbridge duplex is now finished and available for rent. The built-in cabinet in the kitchen was refinished with gorgeous results. The flat has two bedrooms, one bath, refinished doors and hardware, and a rebuilt front porch. It’s close to Wayne State and Midtown, and it’s renting for $1,650.
