Detroit apartment comparisons: What $1,450 rents right now

Near the East Riverfront, this two bedroom, one bath unit at the Garden Court Apartments is available in our price range. The living room has big windows and carpeting, and the kitchen has a lot of storage. This apartment also has a washer and dryer in-unit, and tenants have gated parking. The $1,450 rent includes water.

Kirby Center Lofts, 609 East Kirby Street

In the Art Center, a variety of units are available at Kirby Center Lofts, an old school converted to lofts in 2015/16. In our price range, a one bedroom, one and a half bath unit at 783 square feet is available for $1,400 per month. Pets are allowed, laundry is available in-unit, and tenants get an assigned parking space. Tenants also get access to a rooftop deck and community courtyard.

The Lofts at Merchants Row, 1247 Woodward Avenue

For those wanting to live right downtown, the Lofts at Merchants Row have one-bedroom units available in our price range. The apartments have laundry in-unit, security, and parking available in a garage. Options are available at $1,445 and $1,470.
